Why would I like to contribute?

It feels good, doesn't it, to see old time recipes saved for posterity? It will help us all to better understand the culinary experiences of yesteryear.


How do I contribute?

You will need an account on the site to benefit from the posibilities of adding your period recipes. And to
interact with community members on the adaption of these culinary gems. Only community members will have editorial access to the wiki. This is for health security reasons, as period recipes may contains harmful ingredients. You have a personal responsibility for the period recipes added here.

Can I contribute without an account?

Of course you can. A wiki uses what is known as Talkpages. This is a discussion area related to each page. You have free access to these talk pages even without an account. You will not be able to add or edit the recipe proper without an account though.

Can I donate money to tOCB?

Yes, you can! There is a link here to do just that!


Account "benefits"

Having an account on the site lets you add or edit recipes, menus and articles. You will also have a access to to the tOCB forum, a discussion board for historical tOCB related matter.


How do I add or edit recipes or menus?

To add recipes you should use the Add pages with form pages. You will find them under Special pages:Add page with form. Use Period recipe to add a recipe, Article short to add a definition of some obscure (or not so obscure) or hazardous ingredient or term. Use Period Menu or Complex period menu to add a menu and Source Article to add a new source for your specific recipe. It is now important that you add a source article for any new sources your recipes use, as these pages influence the display of recipes.


What's in the future for tOCB?

Eventually, given time, user interest and resources, tOCB will add other services for the user community.
