Weights and Volumes in Denmark 1698 - 1907
These are some weights and volumes I've found out about in the time I have at my disposal. The internal hierarchy of the older systems should be correct for 1698, although the conversion to the metric system is based on conditions shortly before the acceptence of the metric system in 1907. I hope the table is usable anyway. As always if anyone has more information you are welcome to mail me.
Weights
Based on Kongelig Forordning af 10. januar 1698:
| 1 Skippund | 20 Lispund | 204,8 kg |
| 1 Centner | 100 Pund | 64 kg |
| 1 Lispund | 16 Pund | 10, 240 kg |
| 1 Pund | 32 Lod | 640 g |
| 1 Lod | 4 Kvint | 20 g |
| 1 Kvint | 4 Ort | 5 g |
| 1 Ort | 1,25 g |
Volumes
I haven't got much information on the volume system in Denmark. However, 1 Pot = 4 pögle; which in Denmark should be = 0,9661 liter, and in Norway = 0,9651 liter.
